Visual Arts II
Visual Arts II guides serious high school artists through an authentic creative journey. Students explore diverse media including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and experimental techniques, while maintaining a comprehensive sketchbook to document their artistic development.
Through advanced concept exploration, artist studies, and interdisciplinary connections, students develop independent thinking and self-directed learning skills. The curriculum challenges students to respond thoughtfully to thematic and conceptual problems, generating original content and selecting appropriate media to express their unique vision. Regular critiques and presentations further refine their ability to articulate artistic choices and evaluate work critically.
