Honors Visual Arts III
This curriculum is designed to enable students to apply and expand upon their earlier acquired creative and critical thinking skills. They will express their artistic ideas while defining their personal and culturally informed philosophy about art. Students work on teacher-defined focus areas and are more responsible for idea development. They conduct independent research and collaborate with others to solve problems.
Students will select more advanced and in-depth explorations of processes, techniques, and aesthetic issues during the course. They create a portfolio showcasing their best work, a broad knowledge base, and an in-depth understanding of their art. Students will critique their work and reflect on their creative process throughout the course.
